Biomedical Engineering Association of Malaysia (BEAM) arranges annual national Conferences.
EXCO and Council of IFHE have annual meetings and this time we had got an invitation from BEAM to have our annual meeting in conjunction with BEAM’s annual conference.
BEAM had put a lot of work in the fact that IFHE had accepted to have the annual meeting in Kuala Lumpur,
9- 10 sept 2013. Since IFHE came to this conference, they made their conference to an international event and the Prime Minister of Malaysia was invited and had accepted to open the Conference. The president of IFHE was asked to be a key note speaker and was
accepted.
The
BEAM conference gathered about 500 persons on day one Sep 11 and
more than 600 persons on Sep 12 when Prime Minister
Yab Dato Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak and the Minister of Health and the Director of Health were present.
The delegates came from all hospitals in Malaysia and covered a vast field of professions in hospitals,
service and technical personnel, Facilities Management. Delegates from IFHE were also present during this very well arranged Conference
There were also a professional exhibition set up in the magnificent Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, KLCC close to the famous Petronas Towers.
